I like combining printmaking and photography using modern polyester litho plates. Trees, their shapes and shadows are a developing theme. When working from photographs I will use photoshop to refine the image, and then draw on the plate with biro and sharpie, and often when inking up I will mark-make with a variety of tools. Often as the plate becomes more worked on and imbued with ink it develops a different character, and so becomes a piece of art in its own right. Two Storm Wood is in Richmond Park and was planted up after the storms of 1987 and 1990 when many trees were lost.
